Kevin Palaia

Vice President, Environment
Kevin is an environmental expert with more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing environmental, energy, and public health programs at the federal, state, and local levels.

Kevin leads and supports projects related to environmental compliance, liability assessment, and cannabis program implementation. His areas of expertise include contaminated site characterization and cleanup, brownfields redevelopment, land revitalization, renewable energy, and training.

Throughout his career, Kevin has supported the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Brownfields and Superfund programs. He also has provided technical assistance to dozens of cities and towns across the U.S., that face challenges in redeveloping blighted properties, such as abandoned factories, mills, incinerators, lagoons, scrap yards, and railroads. His work has helped these communities to assess and clean up contamination, develop site reuse visions, understand market economics, and implement actionable strategies for sustainable reuse. Kevin’s clients have included the EPA, the U.S. Department of Interior, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, and several state and local agencies.

Kevin holds a M.S. in Hydrology from the University of New Hampshire and a B.S. in Environmental Geology and Biology from Northeastern University. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys hiking, camping, and playing tennis with his family.
