LaSonta Davenport is a senior grants manager with more than 14 years of experience implementing CDBG-DR-funded programs.
LaSonta Davenport has more than 14 years of disaster recovery experience, specializing in Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) economic recovery and revitalization, public service, and infrastructure programs. She currently serves as senior grants manager for the Texas General Land Office (GLO) CDBG-MIT infrastructure programs and project manager for Michigan Strategic Funds (MSF) CDBG-DR Programs. Her work includes action plan development and providing technical assistance to MSF for their CDBG-DR programs, facilitating start-up trainings for 19 grant managers, leading a team providing grant management services to GLO for its CDBG-MIT infrastructure and coastal resiliency programs, and helping GLO to score and process eligibility reviews for grant applications.
Before her work with Texas GLO, LaSonta implemented economic and workforce development programs and several public service projects across Louisiana.
